“Cancer. What an ugly word. It’s a word that rocks many of our worlds today. On March 9, 2010 my family lost one of our strongest members. My grandma, Patricia Hales, had lost her near 18 year battle to breast cancer. If my grandma taught me anything, it was to be a fearless, lover of life, badass woman. And let me tell you, that woman LOVED life. I know she’s looking down on me with a smile on her face and eagerly (and patiently) awaiting me to bring my talents to the heavens for her use. If grandma were on this earth she would be LIVING in my studio. Patricia was the definition of a women, and loved being one. There wasn’t a time that she didn’t have some big ass knuckle bling on or some sassy hair done. My grandma lost all of her hair each round of treatment, and though she had the most beautiful shaped head, losing her hair was tough on her as many could imagine. With head hair loss, came eyebrow loss. My heart longs to give my grandma the confidence of eyebrows that she deserved.
When I started this business I saw more than money. I saw what it does to women and the confidence it gives them. I don’t want to just collect a check, I want to make an impact on other peoples lives. About a year and a half ago I decided to open myself up and invite anyone who had gone through cancer treatments (men and women) into my studio and receive free microblading. This decision alone has changed my life. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried (a lot) and most importantly I have made a positive impact on hundreds of people’s lives. I was given a talent for a reason and this is one way I am able to give back to some of the strongest, most deserving humans I’ve ever met. If you or a loved one have undergone treatment and therefore lost your beautiful eyebrows, please contact us here at Lemons Esthetics. We would love to give back what you’ve lost.”
